Are you looking for
swimming in Oklahoma? Look
no more. From beginners to experienced swimmers,
we have a place for everyone. Turner
Falls Park is home to a 77 ft. waterfall with a natural swimming
area, and the all-time favorite Blue Hole featuring
a slide and diving boards. Mother Nature has created
shallow swimming areas with water naturally flowing
over rocks and terraces. Glide with the flow of
the water on an inner tube or float, which are
allowed in some areas. Turner Falls Park is just
4 miles west of Davis, about 2 miles off I-35 on
Highway 77, 90 miles north of Dallas and 75 miles
south of Oklahoma City in southern Oklahoma.
If you enjoy swimming
in the lake, Lake
of the Arbuckles has 2,300 acres of open water; or swim
closer inland off the 36 miles of shoreline. From
the wader to the experienced swimmer, Little Niagara
Waterfall, Travertine Creek and Rock
Creek, as
well as Lake of the Arbuckles and Veterans
Lake,
all located in the Chickasaw
National Recreation Area offer a variety of water fun. These swimming
adventures are located within driving distance,
just 7 miles east of Davis in Sulphur off of Highway
7.
Fishing 
Spring,
stream, and lake fishing is abundant here in Davis Oklahoma.
The Lake of the Arbuckles, Veterans Lake,
and Turner Falls Park have some of the best fishing
in southern Oklahoma. Lake of the Arbuckles and
Veterans Lake are located in Chickasaw National
Recreation Area, about 7 miles south of Davis
off Highway 7. Sport fishing enthusiasts may
fish the year around. An Oklahoma fishing license
is required, which can be purchased locally.
Lake of the Arbuckles
is known for catfish, crappie,
sunfish, largemouth bass, white bass, and bluegill.
The white crappie, a favorite catch in winter,
is well adapted to large lakes in Oklahoma. There
are several boat ramps and camping facilities.
Stop by the chamber of commerce and pick up a map
of the lake which indicates where the boat ramps
and other points of interest are located.
Veterans Lake is also
a hotspot for fisherman.
Features include a wheelchair-accessible fishing
dock, boat ramp, and picnic area. Veterans Lake
is a favorite of anglers to test their skills.
Turner Falls Park offers
trout fishing from November
through March. The actual date varies from year
to year because of the weather, which dictates
water temperatures for stocking. The park is stocked
with trout at the perfect time each year. Turner
Falls Park is located in Davis, just 4 miles west
of town.
Boating 
Boating holidays are
great family times, especially
in the Davis area where there is a wide variety
of boating fun. The Washita River is a great canoeing
river, so come on down and experience your favorite
canoeing trip ever! Bring your own canoe or rent
one locally and take a scenic river trip to your
liking as a weekend trip or a canoeing vacation.
For canoeing on a lake, try Veterans Lake where
the water is quiet and peaceful or Lake of the
Arbuckles which offers a variety of canoeing opportunities
from the shoreline and quiet coves, to further
out on the lake.
Lake of the Arbuckles
provides excellent power boating, motor boating, and sailing. Launch boats
from designated boat ramps which offer boating
docks to load and unload passengers. Boat operators
must comply with federal and state laws. Boating
permits are required for Lake of the Arbuckles.

Point, and Guy
Sandy launches.
Water Skiing 
Lake of the Arbuckles
is a magnificent body of spring fed, clear blue
water and the
glass smooth surface is perfect for clear water
skiing, tubing, and wake boarding. The
surrounding shoreline is post-card perfect with
trees, beaches, large boat launches, and
safe swimming areas. You won't find clearer water
or a better place to spend the day
waterskiing at the lake where skiing is permitted
from sunup to sundown.
